The European Game Showcase at GDC 2018 is back!

The European Showcase at GDC is an event where European developers can meet press, publishers and strategic partners.

The event takes place during GDC 2018 in San Francisco. With this open call we invite developers from eligible countries to submit their games.

Organization
The main organization team of the event is (in alphabetical order) Dajana Dimovska, Eva Gaspar, Tobias Kopka and Alessandra van Otterlo, and we also get support from various other people and organisations.

Procedure
The event is curated. This means that everyone in the eligible countries can submit games, but the organisation will pick the showcased games. Each region will pick their own top 10, from which the organisation as a whole will choose the final selection.

Eligible Countries
In the future we want to get more people and more regions involved, but for the second edition the selection will consist of games developed in the Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belarus, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech, Estonia, Hungary, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine, Belgium and The Netherlands.

Attendees
All people involved have an extensive network in the international games industry and we will use this network to invite press, publishers and partners to this event. Focus of the event is the games. No loud music, but just enough space and time to check out all great games.

Venue
The venue of the event will be announced in the upcoming weeks.

Cost
We have also find some sponsors to support us, and we ask each selected developer to contribute €75 (ex VAT) in the cost of catering for the guests.

Deadline for the Open Call is January 18th 2018 at 23:59h CET. Developers that can participate will be announced no later than February 10 2018.
